Using CHMOD to prevent iOS crashes on a simulator

Issue: The Verivo application instantly crashes when being launched in the iOS simulator.

Resolution: The sim file does not have the correct permissions to be executed by the simulator.

The Fix:

  1. In the sim_<app> folder (located at User/Library/Application Support/Applications), explore the application content by right clicking on the package and selecting "Show Package Contents"

                               Show_package_contents.png

     2.  Find the Unix Executable file in the folder. This file is usually named after the application

                              Unix_File.png

      3.  Run the following command on the unix executable to give all users execute permissions:

chmod a=x <File Location of the Unix Executable File>

                     Terminal_Command.png

     4. Relaunch the iOS simulator and try launching the application.
