passing credentials from client to browser field

Hello -

Is it possible to pass a users client side credentials to a browser control field? An example of when you might need this is when you are showing media content that is password protected inside an app and don't want to force a user to re-authenticate.

Thanks!

There is a way to pass parameters into the URL of the browser control field. The syntax to populate your URL with fields on your screen would be like the following example in the data property for the control:

    'http://www.google.com/' + YourControlName

The problem with this is we have a macro, #USERID#, that can be used to bring back the UserID but there is no macro for the password of the user so this maybe a limitation currently.

Thank you Scott. Anyway to do this for content on a web server that has IIS integrated auth? Even if its in the same folder as the Verivo app server it would be helpful...

At this time this is not possible because you still would need some way to prefill the users password for Integrated Auth. You have the ability to prefill the UserID in the calculated column of a control but there is no way to prefill the password.
